Defence:

Right leg back, forming left Gunnun Sogi, execute Bakat Palmok Yop Makgi (High Outer Forearm Side Block)

Counter:

Step forward with right leg, forming Narani Sogi, executing Wae Soopyong Palkup Taerigi (Single Horizontal Elbow Strike) to opponents jawbone.

Nuinja So, Bandae Sonkal Yop Taerigi  
(L-Stance Obverse Knifehand Side Strike)

Defence:

Left leg back, forming left Nuinja Sogi, execute Sonkal Daebi Makgi (Knifehand Guarding Block)

Counter:

Shift the right foot to the left and pivot, whilst turning counter-clockwise executing Dwitcha Jirugi (Back Kick) to opponents floating ribs.

DEFENCE:

Step to side/left and pivot with the right foot, and execute Dollyo Chagi (Turning Kick) with left foot to opponents floating ribs

Right back, forming right Ninja Sogi, execute Sonkal Daebi Makgi (Knifehand Guarding Block)

Left leg back, forming left Nuinja Sogi, executing Bandae Bakat Palmok Annuro Makgi (Reverse Outer Forearm Inward Block)

COUNTER:

Shift right foot forward forming a right Gunnun Sogi whilst executing Ap Joomuk Baro Jirugi (Forefist Obverse Punch) to opponents point of chin, then shift right foot inline with left foot forming Annun Sogi whilst executing Wae Soopyong Palkup Tulgi (Single Horizontal Elbow Strike) to the side of the opponents jaw. 

 

Notes:

1. Ensure blocking and attacking tools are focused accurately on the appropriate targets.
2. Ensure reaction force is used at all times – no one handed techniques.
3. Correct stances are only required at the point of contact with the opponent.  
Additional body shifting may be required if there are different opponent heights exercising. 
4. Ensure sparring exercise is carried out using dynamic techniques.
5. It must be note that stances and body shifting may be necessary if partners are of different heights.  In some cases, the focus point of the counter will have to be redirected to another or in some cases change routine.
6. Blue belts and above should be encouraged to develop their own sets of exercise.
