Practical Elementary Programme
Close Quarter Counter Measures is an integral part of the training programme which links the practical applications of Tae Kwon-Do techniques with the mental requirement of using the techniques effectively when under the extreme stress of a possible violent situation or confrontation.
The programme covers the three main criteria required for effective self defence:
1.
Mental Conditioning
This
is the most important factor in defensive
combat. Like the body, the mind must be
trained to function under stress.
2.
Tactics
These are
the tricks of the trade we can use to avoid
situations, or if necessary respond to them.
3.
Technique (and equipment)
This covers the actual techniques used during
combat, and if applicable the correct equipment
for the job at hand. These three elements
are mutually supportive, if one is missing the
others will collapse.
