ITF SCOTLAND Masters Degree Examination
Saturday 12th November

The exam started on Friday 11th November with a 2 hour written test for all candidates.  All candidates passed.

On Saturday, the day started at 9am with a 2-1/2 hour technical seminar.  The practical exam began at 1pm with all candidates performing 9 patterns (including performing their grade patterns by themselves).  This was followed by Technical Kicking, Sparring (one on one, two on one and three on one) depending on grade, one step, then foot sparring and knife defence for 2nd & 4th Deg, followed by Power Test.

Stephen Robertson 1st Degree (Aberdeen)
Julie Whyte 1st Degree (Aberdeen)

Katrina Carr 1st Degree (Stonehaven)

Sadly Mr Ingram II Deg had to pull out of the practical exam due to a recurring knee injury which he had received during the pre-test earlier this year.  We hope this gets better soon and wish him all the best for the next Exam.

Mr Ronnie Roy, III Degree
Congratulations to Mr Ronnie Roy who promoted to 3rd Degree on Sunday 13th May.  Mr Roy travelled to Newcastle to participate in the UKTF grading and we are delighted to announce that he was successful.  Mr Roy has been training in Tae Kwon-Do for 15 years and recently won Bronze at the XXII European Championships in Slovakia for 2nd Degree Patterns.  He then competed in the 5th ITF World Championships in Quebec (30th May - 2nd June).

We would like to congratulate Alison Ogley who promoted to 1st Degree Blackbelt following the UKTF Regional Grading which was held on Saturday 7th April 2007 in Aberdeen.

2006

September

Mr Jamie Presly, I Degree

Congratulations to Jamie Presley (pictured below) who promoted to 1st Degree Blackbelt following successful completion of the Blackbelt Grading Exam on 24th September.  September has been a great month for Jamie as he moved up from the Teens to the Senior division in Competition and went on to win 3 Gold Medals at the Highland Open.

Jamie then went on to enter the Blackbelt Divisions at the UKTF British Championships in October, where he won Silver for 16-30 Heavy Weight Sparring and Silver for 16-30 Power Test.
