BLACKBELT & HIGHER DEGREE GRADUATION

Graduation Results

Before degree candidates are invited to attend their Blackbelt Exam, they are required to sit a Pre-Test Exam with an independent examiner, after which the student is given written feedback on their performance that outlines both strengths and weaknesses.  Blackbelt Academy degree candidates must additionally pass a series of fitness testing, that are target based.  Degree candidates upon applying for the Blackbelt Exam, must complete a written 1500 Word Thesis on a specified subject.

Blackbelt Exams are held approximately twice a year.

Part One consists of a Technical Training Seminar along with a written Theory Test.  This written exam varies dependent upon the degree sought and covers most subjects for technical questions, to the understanding of the "Do" in Tae Kwon-Do.

Part Two - candidates will perform their physical exam where all patterns will be performed, along with free-sparring, step-sparring, technical kicking sequences, self-defence and power testing.

Upon completion, candidates will receive their result.  Students are required to pass both the written and the physical test in order to promote to 1st Degree Blackbelt or a higher blackbelt degree.
