KIDS CAMPS

Our camp was held on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October and was attended by 12 students from the academy. The two teams worked very hard to achieve an equal score at the end of day one, but on day two, the "White Rhinos" went on to achieve their victory.

Camp One - The first camp of the summer was held on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd July and was attended by 10 students from the Academy. Over the 2 days, the teams worked very hard, not only during their games and activities, but also in practicing techniques and skills from their syllabus. They were extremely focussed and achieved a lot during this time. The most competition between the teams was during the team board breaking. This was the best board breaking we have seen during all the camps we have held !!

Camp Two - The second summer camp was held on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th August and was attended by 12 students from the Academy. Once again the teams worked hard to gain the most points during the two days and although it was a draw on day one, there was an outstanding lead on day two but they never gave up trying to catch up. The most popular game this time was team dodge ball and yet again, the team board breaking was outstanding and the team sparring was great fun. Students were also given the opportunity to practice techniques for their merit badges and stripes and as always, many were achieved. Well done !!

An additional camp was held this year because of many schools having to close for voting to take place (5th May 2005). Six students attended the camp and we ended the day with team Jenga. The tension can be seen below !! The two teams were in close battle throughout the day and this last game of the day was the decider. They worked hard and had lots of fun too !!

Camp One - The first of our Easter Camps was held on March 31st and April 1st 2005 and 9 students from the Academy attended. The students were split into two teams and the teams battled it out over the two days with games of team Dodge Ball, Board Breaking, Gladiators, Sparring etc. Both teams worked very hard on all the games, activities and tae kwon-do training during and at the end of day one it was neck and neck, with the Black Panthers going on to win overall at the end of day two.

Camp Two - The second camp was held on 7th & 8th April 2005 and 10 students from the Academy attended. Once again, the students were split into two teams to battle it out over the two days with games of Football, Bopit, Board Breaking, Gladiators, etc. Both teams worked very hard on all the games, activities and tae kwon-do training during and at the end of day one it was neck and neck, with the White Sharks going on to win overall at the end of day two.
