SEMINAR WITH GRAND MASTER
TOM MACCALLUM
Gmac Taekwon-Do
held a Seminar with Grand Master MacCallum on Sunday 6th December in
their academy in Livingston. Over 70 students attended the day
from yellow belt to senior Black Belts. Through the day, students received individual training sessions by
Master Wallace, Master Hutton, Mr Davis and Mr Niven. Each
session covered different aspects of our training, from old style
training techniques, dynamic kicking and stretching drills, self
defence and jumping techniques.
Following the physical part of the seminar, GM MacCallum presented a
question and answer session. This was a great opportunity to
hear his stories and to find out more about his life in Taekwon-Do
and his relationship with General Choi.

TECHNICAL SEMINAR &
BLACKBELT EXAM
This course was held on
7th November 2009 in our academy in Aberdeen.
This was the first national event to be hosted in our academy since we opened in
August 2009.
Congratulations to Margaret McMillan who promoted to 1st Degree Blackbelt at
this exam.

INSTRUCTORS COURSE
This course is being held on Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th May in Miesbach, Germany. The course fee is 120 Euros plus 40 Euros Inscription Fee.

Rannoch
Donald is Scotland’s first RKC coach, certified by Pavel
Tsatsouline, Russian Master of Sport and ex-Soviet Special Forces
instructor. He has a lifelong background in Martial arts and
training and focuses on health, wellness and mobility.

SEMINAR & AUDIENCE
WITH
Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, 9th
Degree
We were delighted to
attend this Seminar which was hosted by Mr Mark Hutton 6th Degree in his academy
in East Kilbride. It was a unique opportunity, especially for those
who never had the chance to meet the late General Choi Hong Hi 9th Deg.
Master Rhee Ki Ha was the pioneering Master of Taekwon-Do in the UK and is a
unique figure in our Scottish Taekwon-Do history. For
General Choi, Grand Master Rhee was his best ever student; for us,
he is the man behind the large fists (one of which is cast in Bronze at
our Academy).
He certainly lived up to our expectations and was so very generous with his time. He shared many of his stories and memories of General Choi Hong Hi and we were truly inspired in his presence. It was a great day and one which we will never forget.

was held on Sunday 28th September in Montrose.
All three started training in our Kickin' Kids Programme and are the first to complete the Programme and reach 1st Degree Blackbelt.
Congratulations to Gordon Trinder who also achieved an A-level pass.

35th International
Instructors Course
The 35th International Instructors Course was held on May 3rd, 4th & 5th
in Dublin (Ireland).
160 Participants from different countries (Ireland, England, Scotland, Sweden,
Spain, Canada, Malaysia, USA).
This course was attended by Master Gordon Wallace, 7th Degree.
The academy would also like to offer it's congratulations to Master Sandy Dunbar (pictured far right) on his promotion to 7th Degree in Dublin.

on Sunday 24th September 2006. September has been a great month for
Jamie as he moved up from the Teens to the Senior division in Competition and
went on to win 3 Gold Medals at the Highland Open. He will now compete in
the Senior Blackbelt Division in the British Championships in October.
