Sunday 22nd July
2007
Three senior
members, Mark Boydell and Ronnie Roy both 3rd Dans and Karthik Rajendran a
3rd Kup Blue Belt, competed for the first time at a WAKO rules kickboxing
championship. This event was the Scottish Leg of COMBAT Magazines
Champions League. Mark won 1st place in the over 85kg Light Contact
event, stopping his opponent. Ronnie just recently returned from the
ITF World Championships in Quebec, won 1st place the under 85kg Light Contact
event. Karthik had to fight in the Blackbelt Division Under 80kg
Light Contact event. Not daunted by the step up in experience,
Karthik took his opponent to a draw, but later lost the bout.
